From the hotel balcony, I try and shoot from the window or balcony of our hotel rooms.
No its not New York
Thomas and Carol part of our cruise family of eight. Why did I cut off the “E” in LOVE, while concentrating on getting the statue in the heart……
A late entry I didn’t realize I had this
A little night photography.
Last one
The Celebrity Millennium is all aboard and pushing away from Yokohama (which is the capital city of Kanagawa). Due to the high humidity, I couldn’t photograph the people waving their phones with the lights on due to the fogging of the lens.
A quick skyline shot of Yokohama, Tokyo Japan.
I included this because if you look at most of the Prefectures (states) in Japan where I shot the landscapes you will see double decker bridges and hey, it’s a night shot.
Early morning fishing.
If only we could choose the weather we would like. Since this is not possible, I took the best view I could get. I was told some of the other excursions offered a better view, oh well.
The sign says it all we took in the museum tour to cut down on the walking.
Some of the art on display. We were shown how this art was created but the crowd was too large to get a good view. But apparently the outline was pressed into the paper and painted afterwards…I think.
The sign says: Tokaido Yuishuku Community Center
Since it was only the two of us had to use some photoshop tricks to merge the two photos on the lower left.
Same thing here merging two photos.
One of the many shrines we encountered on this trip this one is located in Matsubara (Miho Pine Forest) and beach.
Strolling through the pine forest.
It seems a lot of the trees were having heavy limb issues and needed heavy duty crutches
Break time, oops someone left their blue hat.
The dome building is the Osaka Maritime Museum which has been abandoned and is no longer accessible.
Welcome to the Port of Osaka
This ship is part of the aquarium (the red building in background) when you purchase a ticket for the aquarium you can add a ride on this ship.
What can be said a rickshaw running in traffic
The monument of oath, non-renewal of war between Japan and China.
Returning from the Bamboo Forest (which we never found), I took this of Thomas, I know he didn’t see me do it…Suprise!!!!
Wind chimes
I try and get a nighttime shot when I can we are usually out to sea before dark but Osaka was a two day stop.
I don’t think this guy was part of the group but without saying a word he screamed for me to photograph him.
Our time here in Kochi coincided with festival. I think Yosakoi which loosely translates (let the good times roll). I could be totally wrong, but this is what I was told.
Yea, it was hot.
Nothing wrong with a little nap.
More groups arriving
Leaving Kochi, there seem to be someone at every port to wave goodby or good riddance. Ok just kidding sometimes there were groups singing or playing drums.
Well, sayonara Kochi Japan
Welcome to Hiroshima and to the wettest day of the whole trip…rain.
The cruise dock.
This is the Industral Promotion Hall, it was left the same as when the bomb (Little Boy) was dropped on Hiroshima. It is one of many reminders of what war is like.
A rained on photo of what the Industrail Promotion building looked like before the bomb.
Hiroshima Castle, we have to thank Thomas for this photo since I had enough rain for the day and did not get off the bus.
Enroute to South Korea standing on deck 11
Welcome to Busan
Balcony view
Gateway to China Town
China Town
China Town
Annyeong Busan (Goodbye)
Cruise dock at Hakodate which features the Mashu Maru memorial museum (formally the Seikan Ferry) which was used prior to the completion of the Seikan Tunnel.
She posed at Cape Tachimachi, not the best
Another image that doesn’t actually exist I photoshopped me into this along with Darlene. Mount Hakodate
MT Hakodate which boasts spectacular views especially at night, one of Japan’s 3 best night views…yea I missed the night viewing.
Hey, the Celebrity Millennium from Mt Hakodate.
Back onboard for our group shot. And no, I didn’t shoot this.
Last stop, Aomori
This stop Thomas and I roamed around a bit I guess Darlene and Carol had enough walking over the last two weeks.
This is the visitor center, if you want souvenirs this is the place to shop, tons of stuff here so give yourself plenty of time if you are a shopper.
The whip, the hotel and some of the best dining I have experienced. As a frequent Carnival cruiser, the dining experience was not a huge hurdle for Celebrity.
Scott and Frankie at the Celebrity concierge class social gathering on the helicopter pad of the Millennium.
Darlene, Thomas, Carol and Micheal indulging a bit.
Goodbye Aomori and good luck to the folks fishing next to the Aomori Port North Breakwater West Lighthouse.
Our bags are mostly packed, heading down to supper then finish packing and putting the luggage out in the hallway. I would recommend this trip highly but don’t go in August.
